garden-related projects in public areas of
Mahtomedi, Willernie and adjacent communities.
These funds are available because of
generous member and community support.

Project proposals for 2024 grants were due April 1, 2024
Proposals for 2025 grants will be accepted beginning in February 2025.
The Stewards of Streetcar Park volunteer group was awarded $2,500 for plantings adjacent to the Depot Creek Bridge, located in Streetcar Park in Mahtomedi. The plantings will include small shrubs, native plants and perennials.
The White Bear Center for the Arts was awarded $1,500 for plantings along a new walkway connecting the WBCA building to the Hanifl Performance Arts Center. The plantings will include native grasses, reliable perennials and shrubs along the path and a rain garden.
O.H. Anderson Elementary School in Mahtomedi received a grant of $650 to add perennials to existing garden beds and continue developing the prairie area and native plantings behind the school.
Wildwood Elementary was awarded $250 to add native species to their growing prairie area.
